Nothing like a good old fashioned saying to level us all. We all have our little devils. We have these thoughts and notions our outlook is the right outlook, and we get good at wanting our own way. It is rare though that we are always right.

Idleness does tempt us. When we are not fully occupied there is that need in us to fill a gap. We get thirsty for something to happen, we might need some excitement to fulfil an urge when don't even know exists till there is that idle gap.

I suppose that’s why we have conscience, it helps us learn right from wrong, the good to do and the bad we might experience. So easy for humanity to tempt itself when endeavour leads us where it will.

I suppose that’s why we have memory, to learn and make good our devils and ways which place us in harms way.

Sanctimony though, a devil in its own right, owned by the righteous and delivered with contempt. There is always a devil in there, best keep our judgment and parsimony to ourselves or overwhelm endeavour, mankind's personal learning as long as time itself.
