~ be humble be equal ~

world events can be overwhelming. Often I feel I should look close to home, to my local world to keep things in perspective. And then I realise I need to look at every element available to me and sift what is important and less so. If I were to keep my attention always on the world news and forget my local news, well I would be out of touch very quickly.

Some of us concentrate solely on what is before us, others on distant and remote, some of us, most of us try blend all to an extent.

Our success is making sense of the whole world and our place in it. Often we are undermined and made to feel inconsequential. It is up to us to keep asking the questions and making sense of all our world.

And in sharing our thoughts, we add to the knowledge and interpretation we offer.

When the world was a much smaller place, few people had the ability to make a record of their thoughts and feelings. Nowadays many of us have this ability.

Over the centuries, we all find ways to communicate and share our innermost views of this world.

Science has evolved very quickly as large numbers have spent time and developed everything possible and known to man. At the same time our understanding of our humanity, our religion and our human spirit has been slowed and impeded, mainly by the learned and gifted members of religious groups across this earth who might endeavour to control humanity for their purpose and not that of a deity.

Everyone is gifted with a feeling and belief in life having purpose. From the scientist to the scholar, there is belief that we all have purpose, and that we all have a conscience. That whether we are scientist or scholar our conscience is as good as our learning, for the good or the bad. That we humans learn to embrace good conscience through adversity and experience...

I believe our science runs forward with speed and sometimes scarce reflection on ethics and good conscience. And sometimes science pushes us forward beyond our safe beliefs and values.

I believe our religions sometimes hamper as we delay and hold on to old ideas and edicts. And there are those who find it hard to accept modern times and modern thinkers, who can help us understand our purpose, and relationship with this Universe.

We are evolution, we are developing as a part of this universe, we are all part of humanity. We need heed our scientists and our theologians as they develop and add to our common purpose. And we might remember our own voice in this universe, given us by right and birth.

Our voice is the equal of everyone, not greater or smaller, as informed and worthy as we can be, and open to influence. We learn and develop, we master some aspects of our lives and remain learners in others. We can change and grow, we can accept and let go. And we can all see our purpose, from science to philosophy, from the cradle to the grave. We learn our art of 'human being' most all.

Human Being, making the best of what we have, and being part of humanity. We are the very equal of everyone, made so masterfully by our life's purpose. No life bigger or smaller, no soul more special than another, each with a gift and purpose.

Who might argue differently? Anyone, anywhere who sits in judgment of his fellows, feels more important and worthy than just one other, is more deserving of what life might offer. So easy to be lost and at sea, away from human being and harmony
